The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to your community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The services level developed for intervention status sassa encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to empower the servicing of all shoppers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
